Does anyone have any good suggestions for audio books for my husband and I to listen to on a road trip?

We like mystery and thrillers. I have listened to most all of James Patterson's novels already and love them, so I am looking for something like that!!!!Does anyone have any good suggestions for audio books for my husband and I to listen to on a road trip?
Our favorites are Carl Hiassen's novels (not sure I spelled his name right). They're mysteries of a sort, but with crazy characters and bizarre situations. They can also be a little raunchy. But the humor is wonderful and really makes the miles fly by.Does anyone have any good suggestions for audio books for my husband and I to listen to on a road trip?
YAKiToMe! is a free website that has a bunch of podcast books you can download. I like the Sherlock Holmes classics, myself.

YAKiToMe! also turns any electronic text into a free audio book podcast. It reads in multiple languages, with male and female voices of the best quality, and at whatever reading speed suits you. Check it out.
Velocity by Dean Koontz! Super scary and thrilling. So fast paced you will want the Narrator to speed up just to find out what happens next! I will post a link from Amazon so you can read the synopsis if you want. I just loved it!
Crocodile on the Sandbank by Elizabeth Peters. This is the first book in an excellent series. An archeological mystery with a bit of unwimpy romance.

Amelia Peabody is not a shrinking violet. She carries a parasol with an iron spine and is quite good at clobbering people when necessary (including the hero she later marries). Except for an absolute talent for stumbling over dead bodies (ancient and quite fresh), she's a believable person.

Professor Emerson is an already established Egyptologist with a passion for accuracy. He denounces many of the early names in archeology for shoddy work and hates having that delectable amateur (Peabody) in the way of his dig. When bodies start turning up, things get sticky. Some are not mummies.
These books and authors have all been suggested by readers advisory librarians as read-a-likes for James Patterson. Harlan Coben's ';Tell No One,'; Douglas Kennedy's ';The Big Picture,'; and Joseph Garber's ';Vertical Run';. ';Prey'; series by John Sandford, ';Mortal Fear'; by Greg Iles, Ridley Pearson's ';Middle of Nowhere,'; and Jeff Deaver's ';The Devil's Teardrop';
This is not a mystery or thriller, but I found it entertaining without being too distracting while on a long road trip.

Life on the Mississipi by Mark Twain.

It is a long rambling tale of the history all along the river. Some of the ';facts'; should be taken with a grain of salt, but it is all colorful, and you'll feel like you've experienced life in a different era.
