My kitten is very clingy with me but not my husband?

We have had a couple of rows (as married couples do) and now my cat (he's just over a year old) is like my shadow but seems to be avoiding my husband.

Is there anything we can do to get him back to loving my husband as much as he used to?My kitten is very clingy with me but not my husband?
Kittens are very sensitive to loud and gruff noises and voices. if your husband has raised his voice at you in front or around the kitten , they will stay away from him, i would suggest he tone down his voice, but what he really must do to change the cats ignoring him or avoiding him is to be very quiet pick the kitten up cradle it and just whisper in he ear, gently stroking her back and right behind her eyes and right behind her ears. i had a time where my Cat actually hid from me when my first wife and i were in the middle of a loud argument, unfortunately for me she left with the cat, i have since learn-ed my evil ways and learn ed to control my childlike emotion's. Not that your husband should but it was my exampleMy kitten is very clingy with me but not my husband?
well your husband has to spend more time with the cat and give her attention, also i had a cat like that but i spended more time to play with her and then she is like my best friend.. :]
Kitty remembers your husband was not nice. They read moods.
Get your husband to be the main food provider for a couple of weeks. That should get it back to loving your husband.
In your house your husband is the king of the pride. The top cat just needs to play with the kitten and soon it will shake the fear. The kitten is just staying close to mom till the storm passes. Don't worry food and play and petting will calm him down.
Hi my cats would sit by me and purr and love me if i cried, they are like girls i think, so shes sulking with your hubby, she might even be nervouse of him, cus mens voices when raised are often more scary than ladies, if i was you i would (this sounds harsh) pretend to be *off* towards your kitty, as if your not interested in her, and get you hubby to feed her and smooth her while she eats as if to make her realise HE is caring for her, then smooth her while she sleeps, with you being *off* and him loving and tending her might bring her round, then when shes mates with your man again you show her some love too, even it out abit, does this make sence?? GOOD LUCK XXXX
Just shows the cat has good choice.
Well, cat's are the type of pet that are a lot like people. If you've had a row with your husband and your cat is mostly attached to you, your cat will take on your feelings towards your spouse. Dogs do it too, they can sense fear or anger in people. It's an animal instinct kind of thing. So it's up to you to show your cat that things are patched up with your husband.
cats know what side there bread is buttered on. and like buttered bread your cat will stick to you. FOREVER.
Your husband needs to show interest in him again and gain his trust. You husband needs to spend time stoking huim and playing with him. Your cat will then become more attached to him and less to you. This will take work on your husbands behalf. It will be up to your husband to make the first move. Good luck.
Believe it or not, cats/kittens do remember some things and some people. When our cat was young, my husband's voice was enough to scare her. He has a low voice and can be loud at times!LOL It took her quite a while to get close to him. Now she is the biggest suck around! Have you husband speak to him in a soft voice while petting him. Don't make any loud noises around him and give him time. He will be affectionate to him again. Oh, let your husband give the kitten his treats. You know the saying,';Don't bite the hand that feeds you!'; Have some patience with him and good luck!

Do I have any chance to get pregnant with my husband low sperm count ?

My husband has low sperm count of 4 million/ml , My doctor suggest to try ICSI or IVF ... so do i have anychance to get pregnant naturally ? or its impossible with such sperm count ?Do I have any chance to get pregnant with my husband low sperm count ?
baby dance on the day of ovulation and dont baby dance for at least a week so that the swimmers will be really strong. I knew someone with the same problem. they got pregnant through IVF the first time and then a while later she discovered she was pregnant so it is possibleDo I have any chance to get pregnant with my husband low sperm count ?
Well only takes ONE spermy to conceive so yes you still have a few chances :)
It is very unlikely, but still remotely possible. My husband's sperm count was 2 million/mL, and our doctors recommended we proceed straight to IVF with ICSI rather than trying naturally or even trying artificial insemination. You may have a high enough count to try artificial insemination if you want to try a lower-cost option a few times before resorting to IVF/ICSI, but I don't think your chances of conceiving naturally are very high. Good luck!

So i was told by the Army recuiter that my husband would start pay on May 15. Is that true?

My husband started on April 14 so is it possible to get paid tomorrow? So i was told by the Army recuiter that my husband would start pay on May 15. Is that true?
He will get paid in whatever account he set up for his direct deposit. His first check on the 15th will not be a whole lot because they take a bunch of money out for uniforms(at least in the navy you pay for your uniform) and what not and the lowerer your rank the more work you do but the less money in your bank account its the way the military goes.So i was told by the Army recuiter that my husband would start pay on May 15. Is that true?
Whatever day he shipped is when his first pay period started. It will run two weeks behind.
I don't see why it would take more than a month for them to get his payroll set up.

If he's just going into the Army, don't expect much in the bank right now :)
he will probably get paid for that time, but wont get it on the 15th. It will come in a few paychecks as back pay.
NEVER TRUST THE RECRUITER!!!! They get paid for getting you to join but as for you and believing what they say FORGET IT
    I don't think so...

    help me?

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
that means he would start earning then, you're not gonna see a check till he send you some money.......and he aid he was not gonna send you anything.
it was two months before we saw a paycheck from the army.
He should as far as I know. Because he was there for the April 15th-May 1st pay period.
Hope you save back alot of his income when it does start coming in.Hope you have a job as well!I'd be more worried about my spouse's safety!
he doesn't have to pay for his uniforms, you should get it soon,

What is the husband of a Dame called?

If a man who has been given the ';Sir'; marries, his wife's title is ';Lady';. However since Dame is the feminine equivalent to Sir, what is a Dame's husband called? What is the husband of a Dame called?
The husband of a Dame doesn't get a title as does the wife of a knight, so his title is Mr unless he is given a title separately. What is the husband of a Dame called?
DAME is the title given to a woman who has been ';knighted'; by the queen. The Dame's husband is still called Mr, as the title bestowed to the DAME has nothing to do with him. Unless of course, he has a special title of his own. This same instance can be seen in married Doctors. The title ONLY applies to the Dr. ';Dr and Mrs John Doe'; or more to the point, Mr. John Smith and Dame Jane Smith.
Men's titles are not affected by their wive's titles.A man remains what he was before the marriage, while it is only the wife who's title changes. In your case, the man is still ';Sir.';If he had been ';Mr.'; he would remain ';Mr.';.

A good website that explains titles is http://www.users.chinet.com/~laura/html/鈥?/a>
The Husbands title does not change, as dame is an honary title given to an individual.
Long ago a Knights wife was called a Dame,

a Dame's husband has not got a title.
It is Mister. The title only changes for him if he is knighted or made a peer of the realm.
    Mr.
    Mr.
He's a Mr. unless he gets knighted himself.
my original answer was wrong and i should have checked before answering.

    Honesty's a *****.
Sir or Lord? Just a guess.
    is ';Lord'; i think

How come my husband wants to make love to Yanni and I want to make love to..?

Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin? Shouldn't it be the other way around? How come my husband wants to make love to Yanni and I want to make love to..?
Okay, now you have done it, you have tipped your hand, you can not be in your late twenties or even early thirties, you have to be an older woman in her fifties to desire Frank and Dean-o. As a part of the original rat pack, many, many women desired them, but come on J.J. you need to stop watching the old movies and clips. Maybe it would help if your husband would carry a glass of scotch and slur an old Dean-o song, then you could rip off his clothes and have your way with your fantasy man. Your just to funny. How come my husband wants to make love to Yanni and I want to make love to..?
Why waste your time pining for things you can't have. Follow the advice of Crosby, Stills and Nash. Love the one your with!
Well, your husband must love the fact that mustache's tickle. And Frank..well, if he can make it in you, he can make it anywhere.
    insufferable peegs, you are!
Honestly? You should only want to make love to each other. He is your husband and you are his wife.
    Lets do it to Frank!
hmph, i had no idea frank and dean kept sammy around for 'that' reason?????
I'm more into Def L epperd myself.
u have an older men thing going on?? good, bill's safe in ur company. :))

What does your husband or boyfriend's semen usually taste like?

How do you describe your man's flavour, at least most of the time?

Words like ';bitter'; and ';salty'; are used a lot...Some girls say it's sweet on occasion. One of my girlfriends described it as ';sweaty,'; which I found odd. I've even heard ';chlorox taste,'; but who in the world has tasted chlorox? What are your thoughts? What does your husband or boyfriend's semen usually taste like?
It depends on what kind of diet he eats. And how often he ejaculates. The reason a man's semen would be sweet is if there is a build-up. Because the sugar is there for the sperm to survive. It would be bitter, if he has ejaculated recently or often--or if he's on certain medications. I have personally never tasted Clorox in a man's semen. And have no idea where THAT taste would come from. What does your husband or boyfriend's semen usually taste like?
Very salty, warm, nectar consistency. I wouldn't put it in my coffee.

  • What is the best way to stop calling my estranged husband, and looking at his cell phone records?

I have tried to stop, I even turned off my computer, but turned it back on to check again, I keep leaving him messages. He told me I am not acting strong at all I am acting like a marsh mellow. I want to stop this so bad because everytime I look It makes me cry again. HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!What is the best way to stop calling my estranged husband, and looking at his cell phone records?
Pray and seek help from the Lord. This is a difficult situation. Try finding a hobby or fill your life with activities. What is the best way to stop calling my estranged husband, and looking at his cell phone records?
Calm down. You need to stop stressing about him, and his phone calls. I think you may need to ask him to change his information, so that you CAN'T have access to it. You're too tempted to snoop, and it's only hurting you further. Its normal though, you're marriage is freshly broken, and you're bound to be in pain.

What you need to do now though, is focus on YOU. I think the others are correct, counseling would be a wonderful thing for you, it'll give you someone you can talk to, that can help you come to terms with the grief over your marriage.

Besides that, you need to start getting out, and away from that computer. Go shopping, buy yourself some new clothes, get your hair done, buy some cute little shoes, and go out with your friends have fun and forget about that hubby for awhile. Let yourself have some fun and find enjoyment in life again. Heck, take up a class to learn something new and fun, like pottery, or painting.

Above all stop looking at it as a disaster, and look at this, as a chance for some new beginnings. A chance for you TO become stronger by doing all those things you've always wanted to do, but haven't, a chance for you to learn you can live without him and be better for it.

Hang in there, it will get easier.
you crazy as hel1, you need help you really want to catch him doin something that way you can feel justified in lookin through his records so much. stop lookin before you find something and it will be all your fault
You need to get out there and get busy! Get a second job or join a gym. Go out with friends often. Find a hobby. Otherwise you will drive yourself crazy. Good Luck!
Maybe you should seek counseling to help you with your grief.

    And learn some self control.

    Good luck.
Find another man...Seriously, it will help. Don't attached though.
I dont think WE can help you.

    Get some therapy.

    Sorry about your pain.

    Good luck
Tell him to get his number changed and then not give it to you.
keep yourself and your life full and busy
u need to tell him to change his password and that will help u...

What happen when husband in love with other woman?

Can I know is there any sign and how does he act towards his wife. How long does the feeling of being in love last? What happen when husband in love with other woman?
How long does the feeling of love last? that is a really stupid question. What happen when husband in love with other woman?
He comes home late, doesn't answer his cell when you call, he is caught in lies, he comes home and doesn't talk to you, he never wants sex, he has a short fuse, he is always ';tired'; or he is ';stressed'; he doesn't want to go anywhere or do anything unless it is alone or with his buddies. All of these are signs check it out.

Good luck I hope he still loves you
The usual signs are that they don't appear interested in you anymore, they may pick fights, he acts as if he is disconnected. I don't know how long the feeling of being in love lasts, because love is not a feeling but a decision.
    maybe something happened
    what's the matter?
    what?

How can my husband get his high school diploma?

My husband dropped out of high school when he was 16. He is now 28 and would like to go back to school to get his diploma. We know how he can get his GED or HSED, but we're wondering if he could actually go back to high school and get his diploma. We live in Wisconsin if that matters. How can my husband get his high school diploma?
there should be a facility in your area for adult education...if you'r not sure, check with your local high school or board of education for assistanceHow can my husband get his high school diploma?
depending on where you are there are adult centers..for example here in california we have an adult center where you can do independent study for your hs diploma..just look it up
Why would he want to go to school with teenagers.

The GED is a much better option.

How often should i expect a phone call from my husband in basic training?

my husband left for basic training for the air force a couple days ago. I know they aren't able to use the phones very often but i was just curious to know how many times he may be able to call. Ive had my phone by my side constantly waiting for a call but i haven't received one yet. We have a 2 year old daughter and she keeps asking where daddy is..so hopefully these 9 weeks go by fast! How often should i expect a phone call from my husband in basic training?
he will prolly call you on sunday to give you his address so you can write to him. I got around a phone call a week. My husbands basic was only 6weeks and that last week he called me more since they had more time. It really depends on the their behavior and TI. Keep on the lookout for area code [210]. I hope you hear from him soonHow often should i expect a phone call from my husband in basic training?
i kind of felt the same way. my oldest brother is in the air force and two of my other brothers are in the marines, so im always happy when they call. but my brother that is in the air force is out of basic training so i see him just about every weekend, but he only got to call a couple times throughout his whole time there
Hey hun! welcome to military wifes life!!!

dont be suprised if you dont hear from him in the next 2 weeks and then you might get a short call on a sunday!

if you would like you can join the online military wifes community i belong to its www.soldiersgirls.com

were always looking for new mwmbers
im a marine and it really depends im sorrie i know how it is any way good luck hang in there. by the way this wars poinless well its pointless on the aproach that we have picked or that bush has picked ne way hes finnally out though bush that is ne way good luck
they are allowed 1 phone call a week and i think they are limited to 10 mins a call. I hope your 9 weeks goes by fast as well and keep ur head up.
My boyfriend is A Marine.. and when you are In the USMC boot camp you only get 3 phone calls during those 3 1/2 months. One when He gets there. Around the 6 week and a week before he graduates.
I'm sure he will call as soon and as often as he can. It's not like he's out at a bar, he's got some strict rules he has to follow it's not like he is intentionally neglecting to call.
I wouldn't think he would be able to call more than once maybe twice a week. For your sake, I hope the time goes by fast as well!
It's usually on Sundays but sometimes they can sneak calls in. When my ex was in basic he called EARLY EARLY Sunday mornings.
he'll probably forget about you after a few weeks, so I would start looking for a new man. He won't call you either.F*** the neighbors or something
IF YOU ARE LUCKY TWICE A WEEK......
    Every Sunday.

Why does my husband choose porn over me?

I am a very open wife and sometimes I think my sex drive is higher then my husbands. But I've noticed that he watches porn and looks at other women on a regular basis. I'm always waiting for him to come to me and I do any fantasy he thinks of. I've known myself to be more attractive then half the women in porn. I just don't get it, it makes me feel horrible when I catch him looking at it rather then just going in the next room with me!Why does my husband choose porn over me?
Men don't notice subtle clues, hints, or suggestion. We only notice when our wives are blunt and direct.

Have you told him that you long for him to take you and to fulfill your fantasies. Have you bluntly told him what your fantasies are?

You need to be very direct with your husband and get him to understand three things:

First, and most important, tell him that it hurts you when he watches porn. Don't just say it hurts, either. Tell him WHY it hurts you. And if he is having trouble performing because he is masturbating too much because of the porn, let him know that this hurts you too. You want to be his fantasy, not these imaginary women on the screen.

Second, tell him that whenever he is tempted to watch porn, you want him to come and take you instead. Don't be subtle about it, and make sure he knows you really mean it. And to prove that you really mean it you need to never say ';no'; for awhile (except for ';that'; time of the month... but then there's always oral). But this means that you have to be ready to have sex at any moment... at 2:00 in the morning, during his lunch break, instead of watching Gossip Girl, whenever.

Third, he needs to believe that sometimes you have fantasies, and since he is your husband, he is the one who is allowed to take care of those fantasies. And by ';believe,'; I mean make him believe it. Ask him to do the things in your fantasies to you.

Finally, men don't want to always be the initiator of sex. My wife doesn't have anything near your sex drive, but is good at having sex with me when I need it. But I long for her to be the one to come up and seduce me. And I don't mean her asking me ';Do you want to have sex?'; Because then it is still my decision. I mean flat out telling me that she wants me, and she wants me now, and she won't take ';no'; for an answer. So, try being the initiator for awhile... don't be embarrassed. If you're blunt, he might get the picture.

Porn makes us men feel like we are desired, that those women long for us. So to combat that, you need to make him feel just as desired as those porn flicks do. And he will always notice other beautiful women, but will be much less likely to stare if he knows that you desire him and fullfil his needs more than any of those other women ever could.

He will never figure this out by himself. You need to kindly tell him these things. Kind but firm. Bluntness with tact. Why does my husband choose porn over me?
Most men like to look at other women. It's just the way their brains work. It does not usually hurt a relationship as long at that's all it is. Only if it becomes obsessive or replaces intimacy with the partner that it is a real problem.

But it sounds like you don't feel appreciated by your husband. You need to figure out if he really does not demonstrate his attraction to you or are you insecure and overly sensitive.

If you are insecure, you might get counseling or read a book that will help you boost your self esteem. Do things that make you feel attractive, like work out, get your hair and nails done, dress your best.

If he does not show his attraction for you, you need to tell him how this makes you feel. He should compliment you and make you feel like the best looking woman in any room.

Good for you for being open to new things in bed. Have you considered asking him to watch porn with you some of the time? And asking what he likes about it?
    1) All men view porn, all men.

    2) Why are you waiting for him to approach you? You can view the porn with him (or not) and you are capable of seducing your husband, right? So do it!

I try to very hard to give myself to my husband - even on nights I don't always feel up to it - a quickie isn't going to kill either of us. Even with all that - he still views porn. It's not a reflection on you or your sex life - he's just a man.
He basically is not choosing them over you, he just likes the things they do more than the things you do. So the next time he is watching porn, invite several young male studs over to entertain you during his porn time. I bet he will shut the movie off when he hears you screaming in ecstasy in the bedroom, and the kitchen, and the garage, and in the pool, you get the picture.
i agree, it bothers me to. I think they have bad memories so they forget what a vagina looks like so quickly they just need a refresher course. Not really, but i do like a little porn so i can use the visuals when i need to later too. I do think men are OVERLY OBSESSED, just keep him on a leash with the porn, mine decided he needed bios and location and stuff to keep it exciting and i think he was headed for a fling. The more we tell them we don;t like it, the more they will just sneak. I think i'd rather know then have secrets.
What's wrong with watching it with him and doing some of the things that they do? I watch porn with my husband all the time. It turns us both on. I know he's not thinking about the other women when we have sex either....I love it cause it makes my husband hornier and the sex is always amazing when we watch porn....hmmm...yes it is ! Sometimes after a long day after getting the kids taken care of, dinner cooked, bath times, games played, snacks, story time....I'm just too exhausted to get in the mood, he pops a movie in and I'm ready to go.
That is an easy question to answer.

Hubby enjoy watching his porn and looking at other woman as they do not talk back to him, they are not telling him look at me I am more attractive than the porn stars.

So the problem is you, you need to stop being so self centered and put a bit of focus towards your hubby instead of yourself.
i think youre lying about your sex drive, most of the time porn doesnt become an addiction until something more happens... or quits happening.. either way you need to talk to him and tell him, dont drop hints, tell him how you feel and you want to be the porntress in his real life porno!!! buy some stripper lingerie and really throw some gas on the fire!!!
Probably because you are overweight or maybe he just wants multiple women. Some guys really desire multiple wives. In times of war where men die off it isn't a bad idea but where the sex ratio is roughly 50/50 you got to think of others.
Guys are biologically polygamous. Porn is an easy and safe way to get variety that is a biological drive. The problem you have is your ego. It has nothing to do with you so deflate your ego a bit and you will be fine.
Well you really need to talk to your husband about this and the way it makes you feel. You cant go through your entire life not feeling desired by the man who is supposed to love you the most. If he cant stop his behavior then you need to leave.
I have never understood it myself either.

It's not that I don't appreciate the naked body, but to choose that over actual bodily contact is just weird to me. Pretty tragic really, he needs to stop whacking off himself...Sad Git!

    Lol
Maybe he just wants to jerk it for once instead of worrying about pleasing you?

But still I would prefer sex over jerking it any day. But in a prefect world, I would like to get the easy one out of the way before sex.
It is just male curiousity... unless it is obsessive, you will make it worse by making a big deal out it. He is NOT choosing porn over you....
Because the women on there outstrip you, obviously.
BABY ALL I CAN TELL THAT WATCHING PORN IS A EASY WAY FOR MEN TO GET OFF IT IS NO WORK .SO DON'T FEEL BAD OR QUESTION YOURSELF JUST CONSIDER YOUR MAN TIRED OR LAZY
I don't now....these people on Yahoo all think porn is ';normal'; and ';healthy'; but it doesn't sound like EITHER in your marriage.

Good luck to you- your husband is a selfish azz.....
Don't want eggs every morning for breakfast

Could be A LOT worse so I wouldn't worry to much
Porn is addictive, if one starts watching its difficult to stop. the problem is not with u, its him. If its too bad seek help.
Then come over to my place I would love to play out a few role plays with you!!!!!
b/c when you eat chicken everyday, sometimes you want a steak.
    Porn is normal and healthy : }
Oh My God! This is a debilitating subject and practice for too many men! It has ruined thousands of relationships for no good reason. it lowers the self esteem of a Woman to the point of no return sometimes and men don't understand how hurtful their cheating eyes are! you're doing everything possible for him and yet he still does this disgusting habit? It's an addiction...start printing out those porn addiction pages and have him read them, and get him to a counselor as quickly as possible if he cares at all about your relationship. These men will justify their habit any which way they can and claim it has nothing to do with you...but it does. These men are afraid of intimacy, therefore being intimate with you requires them to actually FEEL and be accountable for not only their feelings but yours too. With porn, they don't have to be accountable or intimate. If he doesn;'t seek help, I'm afraid there is nothing you can do. No amount of crying, begging or pleading will change this terrible act of his. I wish all porn could be banned for life because it only causes pain and fake expectations for all genders and ages. Sex is meant for 2 people and between 2 people only. Anything outside of that even in thought is cheating dear. Stop this now or face the hard road without him....you deserve better. And you deserve to be respected all the way around. Remember, you are a worthy Woman and undeserving of his actions, please don't ever think otherwise.
I find it so hard to believe that with all of the questions from wives on here about this that so many people still think that porn is ';healthy'; or ';normal';.

Ask yourself this; Is porn causing a problem within your marriage? It sounds like it is, so I wouldn't say it is healthy.

Anyway, the men on here who say it's normal are only trying to defend their compulsive habit. The women who say ';all men do'; or ';you better stop being so insecure'; are too afraid to tell their husbands to stop. So who is really insecure?

If you do you research you will find that porn is affecting thousands of relationships negatively.

A very common misconception is that all men watch porn. This is simply not true. Only weak men who have no respect or self control watch it. Someone said it's because men are lazy. Very true, men are very lazy creatures who have a strong drive for sexual pleasure. So what is the fastest and easiest way to get pleasure? Porn. Talk to your husband. If you are truly doing what you say you are, there are underlying problems with your marriage, or he is a addict.

I guess what I am trying to say is, if you don't like it and it is causing problems with your marriage then why should you just have to sit and put up with it because somebody tells you it's normal? He is disrespecting you. Stand up for yourself and tell him how you feel. If he can't stop for you, then maybe it's time to move on.
You are facing two problems - issues.

    1. low/bad self esteem which causes you to FEAR or resent those threatening porn images, etc. Folks with good self esteem/worth are NEVER threatened by such stuff because they are SECURE AND HAPPY WITH THEM SELF.

Why does my husband have such an issue with me getting so much attention from other men?

I recently turned 30 and ever since have been getting really worried about getting older.I started to work out 10 hours a week instead of 7 like I used to and cut out all sweets.I also updated my wardrobe to the latest fashions and spend a lot more time on the way I look so I look the best I can while I'm still young. My husband's been having a real issue with this because I've been attracting a lot more attention from guys which leads to a lot more flirting on my part and I guess he's starting to feel ingored. Why does he have such an issue with me attracting so much attention from other guys?Shouldn't he be proud of it?He has women throw themselves at him all the time so it's not like he has a reason to feel insecure. Why does my husband have such an issue with me getting so much attention from other men?
Just stop flirting back. He probably is proud, but why do you need to flirt back? Probably that is the part that mostly upsets himWhy does my husband have such an issue with me getting so much attention from other men?
the fact that you're flirting back with these other men is the reason your husband is getting upset.. if you want to look good, that's fine.. but you should be doing it for your husband.. not for other men..
well maybe he is just worried of losing u . in a sense he is pround but what ya really have to do is sit him down and let him that know that ur the only one for him. just let him no that u can flirt but ur the only one he really loves
no man wants his girl/wife to be looked at by others, my bf gets jealous and i get jealous too like if he looks at other girls. think how u would feel if you were in his position.

it shows how much he loves you and wants to protect you, and i do not think you should be attracting other men as your are married..

try not to flirt so much gud luck :)
i get ur point that he should be proud of you now that you're more attractive, but you mentioned flirting back so there is obviously a reason why he feels this way. maybe he doesn't feel secure enough that even if you get more attention, you wont leave him for them. maybe it's time to assure him that %26amp; explain to him why you have your new look.. %26amp; ask him for other issues he may have %26amp; clear them out. he might just be missing you %26amp; your attention. maybe after that, you'll have him react like how you want him to
I don't think your husband has an issue with you looking good, he has a problem with you flirting with other men. Ask yourself: would I be OK if my husband flirts with women who throw themselves at him?
I would think it is more if an issue of the way you respond to them, then them just looking at you. You can be gorgeous and have them look without flirting back...that's not appropriate.
Yoy do not say how long yoy have been married, however the statistics show that women usually between the ages of 30 to 45 are very likely to have affairs than at any other age. Why?

Well you pointed out one issue, being uncomfortable with aging, so it would seem that you are. Two, the attention of new men validates how attractive and desirabel you are, and clearly this is always something that people need ot feel and have validated. Women, also statisticalyy, when they are about to have an affair, or divorce, ';get in shape'; and pay much more attention to looking attractive, basically in an unconsious, or conscious attempt to attract men. The same can be said for men. Also, increasingly as we age we feel that our lives have become boring and at dead ends. Affairs and/or new men make life more exciting. Note the proliferation of ';Married Personals Sites.'; Of course the question must be asked, why do both men and women, ';let themselves go';, once they are married? You really have a hidden agenda, it may be a conscous one or not, either put all of your effort in to improving your marriage, or leave and start your life anew.
i would say hes jealous.ask him wheres the trust at.as long as your not doing anything out of the way,why should he worry.maybe your not giving him the same attension, your giving other men.

  • How did your husband treat you while you were pregnant?

    Did he treat you better

    the same

or worse%26gt; (out of fear or just a dick you left later)

with our first he treated me well weird so I guess worse (out of fear)

with our second he treated me the same as if I weren't prego

we are on our third and last and he has treated me like a freaking princess, it would take me all day to list all the things he does for me.

I was thinking about it and its strange how each pregnancy has been just as different for him as it has for me.How did your husband treat you while you were pregnant?
I am not married, but my boyfriend has been very distant from me since I found out we were pregnant. It seems like when I say something about the baby he gets annoyed. He has other kids, I don't, and I think he thinks I'm too excited about it. I know this will change after the baby is born. How did your husband treat you while you were pregnant?
I have never had a baby, but my coworker said her husband was distant to her when she was pregnant with their first child together. She had children from a previous marriage, and so did he, but he was weird for some odd reason. She complained that he never wanted to have sex with her once she was pregnant. He also never talked to her. Then they were near divorce but now they are happily married. I really don't know what that was all about, I just remember her experience and her sharing it with us at work.
Well my boyfriend was such a sweetie at first and when I got preggo he said he was gonna be here for me and yeah he didnt bail out but oh did he start being such a dick with me such as ignoring me, not coming to see me, wouldnt call me.. he seriously went a whole week without talking to me twice. Well he went to jail for stupid crap and that made him wake up and now he's not a dick. I guess guys get mood swings, alot of girls told me just to leave him alone that he'll come around and yeah he has.
So far (I'm only 9 weeks) he's treated me like a princess. He does all the cooking and cleaning. He also does all the shopping. It's been nice since it's been over 100 degrees lately and I can't bear to be outside. It makes me sick to my stomach.

I just hope it lasts!! :)
Well...my hubby usually treats me good. During pregnancy though, he makes me sit down and put my feet up. He does all the housework and cooking! He is amazing!!

Even if domestic abuse happened along time ago can the husband still be persecuted?

If A husband beats his wife and children and it happened say 6 years ago can the wife or children report him now?Even if domestic abuse happened along time ago can the husband still be persecuted?
No I dont think so..... I think there is a time limit on that stuff seek a lawyer. Do u have proof from 6 years ago. Thats a tough oneEven if domestic abuse happened along time ago can the husband still be persecuted?
I rather doubt after six years, but there was a case in the national news of a young man prosecuted a year later. It happened in Michigan, right after a teenage father won custody because the mother was going off to college and the child would be spending most of each day and evening in the care of others. This was not the whole story, but the judge didn't want to harm the mother's reputation while in college. As it turned out, he should have.

Outside the court house she stated that the child's father had battered her the year before, and thus didn't deserve custody. She had two female friends backing her up. As such, he was arrested and the child taken away.

At his trial, when his attorney cross examined the two female witnesses, he first read from the Michigan State Statutes on the penalties for committing perjury. After hearing this, both stated they had been coerced into lying by the mother. Instead of him attacking her, she attacked him. The only thing he did was grab her arms to prevent her from scratching him. He was found not guilty.

The female prosecutor and the President of the Michigan Chapter of N.O.W, went out to the reporters and said that this was a clear example the women cannot get justice in the courts. They went on to file an appeal to the custody award on the grounds that be grabbing the mother's arm, he had battered her in accordance with the federal Violence Against Women Act. The state supreme court agreed, taking away his custody and visitation rights.
No because the police need to see physical evidence, like bruises or injuries, that fit the story in order to make an arrest. Otherwise anyone can make that up about someone just because they are mad and get them arrested. You should have filed the charges years ago when you had the evidence to prove it. You can file a police report and see if they decide to press charges, but I doubt it. Sorry.
There are statutes of limitation on how long you can prosecute MOST crimes and they can vary, sometimes drastically, even within the same state. Murder, and often rape have no statute of limitations. If you have rape kits from six years ago then you may have a case. You really need to contact a lawyer in the jurisdiction of the crimes and find out what your options are. Without evidence such as photos, police reports, doctor/hospital and/or eye-witness accounts it will be difficult.
Persecuted....yes, however if you mean prosecuted, then that depends on the laws in your state, consult a lawyer, consultations are usually free. If persecution is what you are really talking about then read the book of exodus in the bible, hella persecution in there my friend.
As others have mentioned, it's going to be impossible to prove, even if the statute of limitations hasn't expired.

I don't know where you fit into this scenario, but the wife is the one who screwed up bigtime here. Her kids deserved a lot better.
Did you mean prosecuted or persecuted? They are two very different things.

I think you'd need proof to prosecute. Why do you want to go back 6 years anyway? Seems a little odd and revengeful to me. Move on and stop being so mean.
prosecuted? There's statue of limitations on all things except murder and theft. If a dad hits his son, when the sons old, he cannot have the dad arrested. But you can file a restraining order.

How can my husband and I increase our chances of getting pregnant?

I am 21 and he is 23. We Try two to three times a day, every day and have been for about two months now...Please no wives tails or myths...we really want answers that have medical evidence please!!How can my husband and I increase our chances of getting pregnant?
Wow two or three times a day?

    sorry :)

    ok... be patient!

I know how you feel my husband and I wanted a baby since we got married six years ago(I was 17, he 24) but started trying when I was 21 and he was 28 cause we weren't ready in the beginning.....

Long story short it took us two years of trying,, usually every day.....

only thing that worked for us was he went on vacation for 6 weeks overseas and came back in the middle of my cycle(around time for me to ovulate - check out the fertile focus device it will help you determine your fertile days****)

Thats when I got pregnant..... I guess it gave his sperm time to build up? :)

maybe not medically proven, but it worked for me

good luck! How can my husband and I increase our chances of getting pregnant?
search Google and make your vagina friend sperm
No more than once a day will be more effective than multiple sessions. You just get a better concentration of live ammo from your husband that way.

Also could be useful to concentrate your efforts around the times you are actually ovulating. (Can start by doing rough calculation based on menstrual period, or start tracking your temperature to be more accurate)
hey dont rush it...it will come naturally...the more you rush, the more disappointed you get....if you do it that frequent, chances are your husband's sperm may not be good enough to fertilize the thing in you....do it casually...like 2 to 3 times a week....ideally it should be enjoyable to both of you...doing it haphazardly will only complicate the matter...
Ok first of all after your period have sex every second day right up until your period is due again ... Secondly the more you have sex the less sperm your husband creates so every second day is plenty ... good luck and lots of baby dust:)
Come to my house! I'll get you pregnant!

Seriously though, It sounds like the 2-3 times a day that is doing it. The second and 3rd time produce almost no sperm. The first ejaculation is the one that has the sperm in it, the others are a waste.

My recommendation would be to stop having sex so often. He needs to regenerate his sperm.
deeper intercourse and stand on ur head after sex it helps!!!

What if my husband is not in the delivery room?

So my husband went to bootcamp for the Marine Corp a weeks ago and wont be done until July I am due in 3 weeks so he wont be there for the birth. My question is what happens with the birth certificate since he wont be there to sign it?What if my husband is not in the delivery room?
Because you are married he won't have to be there to sign you, you can put his name.

hmm, i have always wondered that too.

but i think it has to do with the way our brains think of the oposite sex.
My wife is slightly older than me. No issues. I dated younger women and older and I ';clicked'; with my wife better.

Why does my husband go mad for me when my period is due??

Under normal circumstances I'd be pleased but this is the time when I just want to wear a dressing gown, watch chick flicks and eat tonnes of chocolate !!!! I feel repulsive, fat and swollen. My chest feels like two basket balls filled with water and he is going mad with lust for me. Why is that exactly? Why does my husband go mad for me when my period is due??
The pheromones that you're giving off with just a dressing gown. Why does my husband go mad for me when my period is due??
cuz men dont and will never understand what its like for a woman to have her period with all those damn side affects
    he's a dog!!!
alot of the t ime we let out hormons everyone has them thats what attract us to others maybe he is just horny but explain to him maybe say to him we can have a hot bath together or make a big meal then he wont want sex he will just want to sleep try it and good luck to you
it may be due to the pheromones you give off when on a period,, its the same when a ***** is in season dogs go mad for it, just tell him to back off for a few days, or make do with just a cuddle
I guess he is straight after all! Your family was wrong, apparently.
They always want what they cant have. Maybe its the swollen boobs that he likes
As a male I've gotta say the first guy is 100% correct! Kudo's to rach and (I think) heather with some options for distraction. I gave you all thumbs up.

    edit:

While on my normal 5 hour round trip for groceries (the wonders of country living%26lt;sigh%26gt;) I realized something about this question as it relates to men. The women I've been with where I didn't get 'randy' at ';that time of month'; were the ones I cheated on and I was faithful to the ones that I 'pestered'. I couldn't find research on the subject but that might be something positive to consider on the subject%26lt;g%26gt;.
Its down to the pheromones that you're giving off whilst menstruating.

Drives us mad it does :)
we'll for one I think if a guy thinks he can not get it because you do not want it , It makes them want it more. tell a guy no one time and he will do anything to get it. Also maybe he is going into rut ( what deer do) he smells it comming on and dosent even realize it.

Don't worry my hubby does the same thing.
my bf avoids me when i have my period. cuz he think i will kill him cuz with his last ex it was a week of hell! he was shocked when i wanted to make love during my cycle. he had never dun it before during a period but mine is light. he jus won't go downtwon which i wouldn't want him to anywayz!
maybe the fact he ';can't'; have you that turns him on :)
mmm i have never heard of that happening...i know that dogs go crazy over bitches when they have there period but in humans wow i never knew...just tell him to back off your feeling vulnerable and sore ....kick him in the nuts hhehee
its the big boobs and the smell.

its due to our primitive instincts to procreate- it says to him- SHE'S FERTILE!
he could have a strange fettish i guess !!!

What is the best way to cook Lobster tails? My husband bought them ,and they have been sitting in my freezer?

Frozen lobsters are not so yummy, they loose flavor and texture so i would recommend tossing them in a sauce after you steam them as per the directions from the lobster-man.

    Tarragon Cream sauce

    I pint heavy cream

4 tbs fresh tarragon or mild fresh herb of choice

    1/4 cup dry white wine

    1 clove minced garlic

    2 tbs butter divided

    salt to taste

SOFTEN the garlic in a saucepan in 1 tbs of butter, turn up heat and add the wine. reduce till syrupy, Add the herbs and cream allow to slowly reduce by at least half, till it looks thick . Turn off the heat and stir in the butter. add the warm lobster and salt and pepper to taste. MM mmm goodWhat is the best way to cook Lobster tails? My husband bought them ,and they have been sitting in my freezer?
First, thaw them overnight in the fridge or under cold water (important!!) Boil water, place a strainer over the pan (do not submerge the lobster), and cook 4-5 minutes a pound. Melt butter, and enjoy! What is the best way to cook Lobster tails? My husband bought them ,and they have been sitting in my freezer?
DONT FRICKEN EAT LOBSTER TAILS!!! THAT';S NASTY!! U SICKO! GOSH! PPL CAN B SOOOO CLUELESS SUMTIMES!!! EEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRGGGGENBOPPER!! :(
THROW IT AWAY IT IS GOOD FOR NOTHING THEY ARE SPIOLED BY KNOW

YOU DONT WANT TO GET YOUR FAMILLY

    SICK'

    OR DO YOU?
Best thing to do is to let them thaw out in your refrigerator....then split them down the middle lengthwise (cut through the top shell)

at this point you can either steam(not boil) or broil them directly....I usually mince up 2 cloves of garlic and mix with 3 tbsp melted butter and broil until the meat is white but still springy to the touch.

Champagne goes really well with Lobster!

frozen then boiling really pulls a lot of the sweet flavor out....
If we are talking tails only, defrost and steam till tender , DO NOT OVER COOK THEY WILL BE TOUGHER THAN LEATHER.

the meat should be white and tender. you can also split them and broil them. this might be the easiest for you as you can watch them cook , bast with a little butter when finished.

If we and talking whole lobsters , an inch or two of water in a pot , bring to a boil , put lobster into pot with the tail tucked under, steam 7 minutes a pound once the water is back to a boil. If cooking more than one at a time put the largest lobster in first and smallest last , add 4 minutes cooking time for each pound of weight of the extra lobsters. So if you have a 2pounder (14 minutes) and a 1 pounder, your cooking time is 18 minutes total .When time is up dump into the sink and spray with cold water briefly to stop the cooking action. Whole lobsters are easier to cook
    grilled or broiled!

go to allrecipes.com for some great and easy recipes!
I think you boil them. You can also steam them. Try adding butter to the water and some garlic. I would start by boiling because there frozen, then steam. Happy lobster cooking. Let us know how it turns out.
From what I hear, they have to be boiled no matter what. Another good way to cook them is to barbecue them AFTER boiling them. A lot of people tell me that barbecued lobster tails taste good, though I've never tried it myself.
I think you want to start by thawing and then par-boiling or briefly steaming the tails for 2 - 3 minutes.

In the carribbean they make a mango, butter and spice mix that they then coat the tails with and grill for 5 - 7 minutes. It's quite good.

Can I call credit reporting agencys on behalf of my husband?

My husband doesn't do well with speaking business with people over the phone and he has a hard time getting his point across the way he wants, can I call credit reporting agencys on his behalf? Can I call credit reporting agencys on behalf of my husband?
some people will allow him to give them verbal authorization to speak with you, others will require you to have a power of attorney

hope this helpsCan I call credit reporting agencys on behalf of my husband?
This is a sticky issue - it often depends on the customer service person on the other side. One simple solution I often recommend to Thrive users is to simply get on the phone with your husband. That way, he is there to answer any legal questions like SSN and DOB, but you can help smooth out the ';what I need you to do'; demands that he is talking to the credit reporting agencies about.

Let us know how it goes! We're actually working on some scripts to help people talk to their credit agencies and if we can help in some way with this situation, we're happy to try.
Send a power of attorney letter first. Then call 10 days later to verify that the got POA letter.
You should write letters regarding any matter about your credit and not make a phone call.

  • How would you feel if you found out that your husband or boyfriend donated sperm in college?

I am contemplating donating sperm at the local fertility clinic. Is this something that could come back to haunt me?How would you feel if you found out that your husband or boyfriend donated sperm in college?
Take a look at the fattest uglist most disgusting PIG WOMEN that you can see.

That is the kind of women that is going to PAY to buy your sperm. And you are putting your genetics and DNA into THAT and your kis if going to have THOSE GENES from her.

That is ******* disgusting. How would you feel if you found out that your husband or boyfriend donated sperm in college?
I wouldn't care... there is no financial commit and maybe he helped out a couple that couldn't have children because the husband's sperm count was too low.... it could haunt you because I believe some children find ways to seek out the ';donor'; later in life even though the files are supposed to be confidential. Seriously think about this though! it could be a great cause donation but solely doing it for the money may continue to bring up mixed emotions in your heart.
Good Job Phart that some grade A stuff.

Anyways I've already considered doing unless your going to donate for fun and not money you will find out that they pay you more money if you are already a college graduate, where as now its just the same as any other guys.
if the child is looking for his/her biological father it could, but if the sperm is used for a couple that can't get pregnant because of the man in the situation, i doubt the kid will.

What are some sweet things I can do for my husband while we're apart?

Right now, we're in separate countries temporarily (Canada/USA). We fly a lot to see each other, but it gets expensive. We talk on the phone 4-8x a day, and send texts throughout the day. We also send each other romantic ';i miss you'; cards and other romantic cards in the mail.

Is there any creative ideas on what else I can do to surprise my husband? I think I married the best man in the world and he deserves the best :)

Thanks! What are some sweet things I can do for my husband while we're apart?
If you have digital camera, take pictures of things you do, places you go, etc and either send them or make him an album. People like to see pics, I understand how you feel. You might try talking to him on a web cam if you can get together at the same time, almost like being in the same room. If he likes homemade cookies or something mailable like that, send them to him for a nice surprise.

How did your husband respond the the positive pregnancy test?

I love hearing these stories! How did your husband respond the the positive pregnancy test?
We'd been trying for ages without success, and I was booked in for a laparoscope the following month. So we'd given up trying. But I knew I was pregnant, so I did a test which was positive. I told my husband in the car on the way to work and he didn't say anything. For the entire 30 minute trip. Later that day, one of his colleagues rang to congratulate me as he'd been madly running through the building telling everybody from the cleaner to the managing director! I think it just took time to sink in.How did your husband respond the the positive pregnancy test?
    he was totally thrilled!
My husband was soooooooo happy. and was telling me baby dont do da, dis this. just wanted me 2 be careful and everything. it was so sweet of him. we have 3 more months 2 go.
I was in the bathroom, and didn't expect to get a positive test. I was like, 'come here! come here! come here!' He got kind of huffy because he was doing something (and didn't know I was testing). He turned the corner and was like 'what?!' and I handed it to him. It was a digital one, so it said PREGNANT. He looked up at me with the biggest grin and then gave me such a big hug he lifted me off the ground! Then he said, 'NOW can we tell your mom?!' She was over at the time - in another room, and we hadn't told anyone we were trying. He was dying to tell someone!
I called him on his cell phone and told him he was sleeping at his house at the time and said thats nice and went back to bed.
i recently had our 4th baby, it wasnt planned, i was 2weeks late so i secretly brought a home test, i went toilet it was positive, i ran up to my husband, showed him excitedly and he says, bull s hit, your lying, he just thought i was pranking him, he made me go doctors in the morning, he then finally beleived me, he then had the nerve to tell me he remembered pulling out too slow one night, hes such an idiot
Well we had been trying for 11 months but when i decided to take a left over pregnancy test from the month before now for a joke. You know how you are when you have a test and cannot resist from taking it so i did not thinking it would be positive and before i got up off of the toilet there were 2 pink lines! I was so shocked. I tested 7 days before my period was even due and got that positive.

I jumped up with the test and went running through the house to my husband and showed him. He was in shock too but we were both happy but then we both started thinking that the test was wrong so i went and bought another one that same night and took it and it was positive too.

    We were very happy though.

I am now pregnant with my second and we found out through a blood test very early (due in December). It was just a routine check up at the doctors and they told me i was pregnant but we are very happy about this one too because i suffered a miscarriage in 2005.
I told my husband I was with child after the 5th pregnancy test. We had been trying for years and I kinda gave up hope. So he came home from work late one night and I left ALL the test on the bathroom sink for him to see and of course he did'nt have to use the bathroom. I told him I thought I was pregnant and he just hugged me. He held me so tight for so long, I knew he was sooo happy! I remember he went to smoke a cigar and called everyone on his phone list. It was almost midnight!
    like this.....WOO-Hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me and my husband argue but marrage counseling doesnt work for us. Any ides?

We argue because we are two different people with different points of views for EVERYTHING. We are at the point of getting a dovorce but we wanna do whats best for our two children and we had just moved to a new home. Marrage counseling doesnt work and we arent the type of people who accept the fact that were are wrong and apologize. We will not addmit it even if we now we were wrong. Any ideas? Thank-you.Me and my husband argue but marrage counseling doesnt work for us. Any ides?
You have to use the five second rule!

You must pause for five seconds before speaking.

This gives you time to think before you speak, and

allows you to think of a nicer way to get your point across.

Another great tool is to discuss what is bothering either of

you without making it an attack on them.

eg. I wish that you would ___________.

    Instead of ';you always _____________.

It hurts my feelings when you _________.

Instead of ';It is all your fault you stupid _______';.

Name calling and degrading eachother should never

    be permitted.

Instead of responding defensively...you should both

respond with an affirmation. This way the other knows

that you were listening by acknowleding what happened,

and how they will try to change.

eg. I do not like it when you refuse to take your plate

    to the sink.

You get upset when I do not take my plate to the sink,

so I will do my best to start cleaning up after myself.

Best wishesMe and my husband argue but marrage counseling doesnt work for us. Any ides?
If you are young, or even if you are not - and if you have tried everything possible to make it work, cut your losses and get on with your lives separately. The children can't be the reason you stay together - it isn't fair to them. They would much rather have two parents living apart and happy than two parents living together and miserable. Good communication is so important to being happy together. You only get one chance at life - make it what you need it to be. A new house is nice too, but it can't fulfill anything inside of you - it is just material.
What you two should admit to is that this marriage was wrong, and it is going to give your kids a bad environment to grow up in and end up giving them problems of their own. Love is about compromise and you would easily gravitate towards it if it was love. Lust is about what I can get out of this and it seems that is where you two are at, you never made it to the love stage. It comes from the same place just different results.
MY MY!!! how did you two manage to have children,? life is for living and to enjoy what you can when ever you can, not to spend 95% of it falling out, i bet you fall out over stilly things, why dont you try making love, and when you have done that try talking to each other about what you like and how you like it !!! get what i mean, if you can't talk about that then please one of you must move out, think of what all this is doing to your kids, and yourselfs ??? i can give you loads of advice but at the end of the day it's what you all as a family want ? good luck, if i can help any more ask me
Just shut your mouths. You know you are different, you know you have different ideas....so why argue about them? 95% of issues are issues you can let go (Willow issues), for the other 5% (Oak issues), you both need to learn how to compromise, fight fair, and put your relationship (and more importantly your children) before your selfish pride.
Marriage counseling DOES work, but you have to want things to get better and be willing to try new things. If the two of you won't even admit when you're wrong, how do you expect to make any progress in counseling?
Seems you are headed for divorce whether you do it now or you do it later. Sorry
Hi there. It sounds like this is a difficult situation for you both. It is possible for two different people to live together in harmony but it takes some compromising. Firstly, it may be useful for the both of you to write down a list of what you like/appreciate about each other and exchange those lists. Try to remember what brought you together in the first place. If you feel you can be open as well about what drives you up the wall, do these lists as well. It sounds like a good dose of honesty will not hinder your relationship if it is already on the brink. See if you can find common grounds where you complement each other rather than where you collide. Easier said than done I know! I am not sure if your arguments have themes, e.g. are they around the same topic each time? This could be an indication of what may be missing in what he does/doesn't do and vice versa. See if perhaps you can write down what you would like him to keep doing/change/stop doing and he does the same for you. When you have children it is difficult to find time as a couple and communicate, as the stresses of life take over as well as the day to day worries. Making time, even if only 10-15 minutes per day, can make a difference. Once you have shared all of this, you will get a better idea of whether you are meant to stay together or you are too different to work as a couple. It sounds like you really want to explore every avenue before parting so give it a go and se what happens! Good luck to both of you.

3 most important elements that make the ideal BF or husband?

Women what are the three most important elements a man can have that makes him ideal for a boyfriend or husband?3 most important elements that make the ideal BF or husband?
    1) Intelligent! If he's not at my intellectual level, it just won't work.

    2) Funny. He doesn't have to be a professional comedian, just someone able to bring a smile to my face now and then.

    3) Cares about me. Pretty much a given.3 most important elements that make the ideal BF or husband?
For me, these were the top 3.

    1. Strong character - honest, faithful, kind and gentle, hardworking, that sort of thing.

    2. Solid Christian who takes it seriously and actually lives by the Bible instead of doubting it and doing his own thing. I put that at number two because I wouldn't want a man who was a strong Christian but had some flaw like, say, being a total arrogant butthead who thought he was better than everyone else. Not good. LOL

    3. Shares mutual goals with me - wanted to save himself for marriage, wanted to *get* married, wanted kids some day, wanted to homeschool, wanted to be the breadwinner while I stay home with children, that sort of thing. We had to be going in the same direction in life, mostly.

Other things were important too - he had to have a good, slightly earthy/wacky sense of humour because I couldn't live with someone who was very solemn. I'm way too much of a goofball for that and I'd drive him nuts. He needed to be one of those masculine men who would wear the pants in our home (but not squash me under his thumb) - I couldn't respect a man who let me walk all over him. He needed to treat his family well, because the way a man treats his family will show you how he will one day treat you. He also needed to treat me like a lady. I try to act like one, and I wouldn't have wanted a man who insisted on treating me like just one of the guys. And, he could NOT be a feminist!! LOL
    1. common sense (wisdom)

    2. compassion

    3. social skills

Without common sense even a rich man can become destitute, but with it, a poor man can recover. A person with compassion will be generous and forgiving, merciful and endearing, and generally works well around children and animals.

Social skills are necessary for long term employment, especially if he is laid off, and also contribute heavily to his relationship with your family and friends, and how he acts around other people - like whether or not you can bring him along on trips or special events.
No plans to get married ever. So my ideal boyfriend would:

    1. Keep the chemistry going even after we hook up.

    2. Understand that I need a life of my own at times that doesn't include him.

    3. Share in responsibilities and not expect me to do his work (cooking, cleaning, other chores, finances) for him.
    1) Faith in Jesus

    2) Trustworthiness

    3) Balance of work and fun

(There's more, like chemistry etc. I was trying to think of what makes my hubby so wonderful, but his qualities far exceed 3 and any amount of space I could use.)! Yes, head over heels in love still!
    Respect

    Honesty

    Sense of humour

I also like a guy who is adventurous and likes to try new things..and who is not lazy!

And I love when a guy isn't all ';tough'; all the time and likes to cuddle..like my boyfriend! =)
    1) Physical Appeal

    2) Intellect

    3) Confidence

And some more ...Yup, I probably ask for alot, but I don't think it's an unfair trade.
    1)Sexually attractive.

    2)Strength.

    3)Confidence.
    My top 3:

    1) Sense of Humor

    2) Hardworking

    3) Trustworthy/Family-Oriented
1 - He loves me more than I love him (makes life easier, and you will know for sure that he will never hurt you)

    2 - Friendship %26amp; compatibility

3 - a manly man thats intouch with his feminin side :)
    1) Honest%26amp;Trustworthy

    2) Chemistry

    3) Hardworking

No, I'm not a ';gold digger'; hard work just turns me on.

    ha

    Cheers
    Hardworking

    Respectful

    Caring
    1 listen

    2 don't lie

    3 don't cheat

  • Why does my husband fall asleep every time he sits down ?

My husband gets up early , has breakfast about 8 AM then back to sleep . Sits down to watch tv is a asleep in no time he's frustrated and so am I . What could casuse that ?Why does my husband fall asleep every time he sits down ?
When a person sits or lays down their blood pressure drops. When they stand up, the blood pressure rises to keep blood going to the head.

If he is on blood thinners, has problems urinating, or is potentially anemic, you should consult a physician for diagnostic tests. Why does my husband fall asleep every time he sits down ?
Mine does too and it is frustrating. I agree though that it could be sleep apnea, watch him sleep at night, does he snore? Get up to use the can, broken sleep at night causes the problem you are talking about. He could have circadian rhythm disorder, which is a bugger, the brain has no sense of a sleep schedule. Is he depressed? Getting enough exercise? Actually going back to sleep in the morning after you have been up throws off the whole day, it is better to push through that urge to lay back down and eventually the urge goes away. I had a heck of a time with that, put the kids on bus, go back to bed, my day was shot, Now when i stay up the grogginess wears off. A huge breakfast that is loaded with carbs is notorious for putting people to sleep. A sleep study could pinpoint what is causing this problem. I would talk to a doctor about having one. One thing I will say is don't let some doctor slap him on anti-depressants without doing a complete work up, that is what they tend to do now.
How long does he sleep each night? If more than 8 hours and still sleepy...

If he is chubby, one possibility is that he has obstructive sleep apnea, which results in poor quality sleep during the night so he's really sleeping during the day. Chubby, loud snoring, and daytime sleepiness- ask your doctor if a sleep study is necessary to diagnose sleep apnea. Weight loss helps a lot.
Because he has nothing to do. my husband does the same thing. After eating his meal and then sitting in front of the tv, he passes out for a good 2-3 hours. It's just sheer laziness!!!
sometimes when people are depressed/stressed they tend to fall asleep easily (it takes them out of the situation so to speak) - or they are up in years and I guess that this is natural.

    seen both cases

What length of time can I expect to have my husband before he deploys?

He's in training now for Infantry and should finish up sometime in January or February. The way I see it there is no question that he will be sent away from me and our son who will be born around the time he finishes his training ( I know its a boy!!)for 15 months. We have known each other since age 13 and over the years he and I have been friends continuously since that time. Nevertheless he isn't my friend anymore but my husband and the nature of our relationship shifted dramatically the weekend in May of our prom. We became ';legal'; in a civil ceremony on August 1. He left me for Army Training on August 27th. Could he immediately be sent away or will there be some time that we could be together as a family. I assume that with the schedule of unit deployments we will have 12 months or less together. How does that work? Would they send a green soldier directly into combat from training without anytime with his wife and child? Or do they give them at least 6 months or what? What length of time can I expect to have my husband before he deploys?
';Wife and child'; have absolutely NOTHING to do with his combat readiness. He'll go when his unit goes. You need to get ready to deal with the business of life as wife of a deployed soldier. It may not be fun, it may not be pretty, but it is Life.

What? Did you think you could collar him and keep him close by getting pregnant? Lord, I hope not! Not for his sake, or yours, or that kid's. It seems you need to worry less about a ';green soldier'; and more about a ';green woman';...and that would be you. What length of time can I expect to have my husband before he deploys?
Most likely there will be a short period of time before he deploys...a few months..for him to get processed into the unit and prepare to go. You will know for sure what the timetable is once he gets orders to his unit after tech school.

I agree you should plan to go with him to his first duty station. However, if he is going to ship out within six months and be gone for 12-15 months, I can understand and would encourage you to consider going back home after he leaves. Many military wives do this. Deployments are extremely stressful for an experienced military wife. To be going into one as a new military wife , even more so. To be doing so while expecting your first child...again, more so. Add that you are still young (sounds like only recently out of school) and I tend to agree that while he is deployed, at least until the birth of the baby and your recovery, you should go back home. You will have the support of your families, help adjusting to being a mother and, if needed, assitance while you recover from delivery. Once things have settled, you can then head back to base and begin setting up your home and preparing for your husband.

Military life is unpredictable in many ways. It is important to use all the services and support available. If you do decide to stay on base while he is gone (and this assuming he will deploy fairly quickly) be sure to find out who the STAR wife is for his unit. STAR wives are there to help the spouses and families of deployed military members. They can introduce you to other families, plan events and can help you get help with things like lawn care, getting the care serviced, et while your husband is gone. As you are pregnant, you should also look into any mother's groups and play groups through the base's family support center. There may also be similar groups through the base chapel. off base churches and, if you deliver in a civilian hosptial, through there as well.

Wishing you the best on this journey...it is scarey and frustrating and challanging...but many here will tell you there is no other life they would choose.
He will probably be sent away faster than others because he is infantry... I know that is upsetting, but that is the way it goes.
In all honesty, he can be deployed the day he arrives to his permanent duty station. realistically, however, that won't be the case, but he could only have a few weeks at home. depends really on where his unit is in their deployment rotation.
it really depends on the unit he gets sent to. I hate to tell you this but he could be sent immediately after arriving to a new duty station. (by immediately I mean, after he inprocesses which takes 1 to 2 weeks he could be sent). But then he could go to a unit that just got back and not deploy for a long time. its really tough to say. it is sad but the needs of the Army are put before the needs of the family. :(
the military doesn't care how long you've been married, or how long you get to be with your baby. You go when you're called. There were at lest 10 VERY pregnant wives at the farewell ceremony for my husbands unit. Most of these babies were due to be born within a month or two, but the guys had to go anyway. Sorry...but it's the Army. That's just how it is. he could go in a month, he could go in six months, he could not go for a year or two.
Depending where his unit is in there deployment is when he will go. Our daughter finished her training and was sent to Iraq within a month. She was at her duty station long enough to do paperwork and a little extra training.

Having a family does not matter to the military. They will send a ';green'; soldier. They have been trained without any thought to the family.

Why don't you get to know some wives in his unit and see what you can find out?

Otherwise I would plan for immediate deployment and be ecstatic to find out he will be home for awhile.
Be prepared for it immediately. It will most likely be within 12 months and that long would be an unusual situation. I was sent within 45 days of the end of basic training. Just remember that he is doing the most honorable thing a man can do for his family and country.
1-5 Months after his Basic Training. Also it depends on what his Role, Brance, and Rank.
It depends on his unit. If his unit is already deployed, he will leave practically immediately. When my husband got out, his unit had just got back, so it was almost a year before he left. There's really no way to tell. He should know his unit a few weeks before Basic is over, but probably not any earlier. Be prepared for anything.
It really all depends on where they send him and how often that base deploys. You could have him 1 month or 6 months. It is tough. Being an Army wife is not an easy thing to do. The Army does not care if he has a family. They will send him where they need him. If you ever have any questions or need to talk, feel free to e-mail me.
    90days tops
Whether you can live with your husband after his training depends on how soon his unit is scheduled for deployment, since he'll most likely have to put his name on a list to obtain base housing,so your mom and mil might be right. As many have said the Army OWNS your husband and to be truthful that's the way it should be,though they do go out of their way to support the families.

    Retired military wife.
Military units are deployed by unit... so, say there are 4 main stateside units that do what my son's unit does. At any given time, 2 will be deployed (one in Iraq, one in Afghanistan) and 2 will remain stateside, one on each coast. While stateside, they will continue to do their jobs, and to train for upcoming missions and/or deployments.

If your husband is assigned to a unit that is just returned from deployment, he'll have a nice long stretch stateside, to train with his unit. If they are just getting ready to deploy, he'll go with them.

He has a big-boy job, now. The military can not make decisions about who they will deploy or how it will work based on who's newly married and who's got a new baby in the house. That is a very tough aspect of life as a military spouse. The sooner you learn to adapt to the fact that the Army owns your husband 24/7 until his enlistment is up, and the sooner choose to SUPPORT that, no matter what it means, without complaint, the happier you will be and the better your husband will do while he's enlisted.
In most likelihood he will be sent out either a month or two after he finishes basic. It depends on the situation on the ground in Iraq. If things improve it might be later.

What's with women who like to be considered their husband's property?

My husband was the head of the household, the boss of the home front and had the final word on all decisions. There are never any arguments because he doesn't allow backtalk disrespectful action or words. This works for me. Why do other women and sometimes men find this offensive bordering on abusive? I was born and raised in the USA, as was my husband and both our families. Why do so many people find this to be totally wrong? What's with women who like to be considered their husband's property?
There is no wrong answer with you two. It is whatever you choose. I like that you have decided to concede on some of your choices. My opinion: men and women must pick either a masculine or famale energy in a committed relationship and stick with it. It is about compromise and the two energy balances are somewhat opposite yet compliment each other.

I read somebody wrote something about 'voting'...I simply disagree with this statement. Equal right laws have nothing to do with the ying and yang energy that compliments a relationship. A successful committed relationship is about two different people coming together by communication, and a mutual respect and trust. You trust and respect your husband and in return he cherishes you and together you flourish. What's with women who like to be considered their husband's property?
I am not one to judge you and your relationship with your spouse. However, I am God's property not man's. If you are a religious or spiritual person and you consider yourself to be following Ephesians 5:22-24 which says:

    { 22Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. }

Then he must follow Ephesians 5:25 which says:

25Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her

So your husband should be treating you very well. If he isn't then you are in a sad marriage.

    It works both ways.
I think it's possible to live this way withOUT it being abusive. I don't see anything wrong with that! :-) When you have two people in a relationship, there needs to be one person who has the final word on things only because there will always be differing opinions. You try to compromise as much as humanly possible, but there are times when that's just not possible. When this is the case, there has to be ONE person to make the decision.

If your man doesn't like backtalk and disrespectful words and at the same time doesn't give those to you, then that sounds like a great relationship to me!
What does it matter why people find it wrong? If it works for you then why are you on here trying to get justification? Just live your life and stop worrying about what other people think.

Part of the reason I personally have a problem with it is because in the past marriage WAS about property rights. A wife and children were nothing more than property to a man. Its only been within the last 50 or so years that marriage has been (ideally) based on love and respect. I'm a stay at home mom and in no way consider or want to consider myself my husband's property. Of course my husband treats me with equal respect and would never treat me like property. My husband and I have rarely had any arguments throughout our whole marriage. A relationship shouldn't be disrespectful to begin with but not because he doesn't ';allow'; it.

If you feel that you're respected and you're happy with the situation then BE happy and stop trying to convince the rest of us that you're content.
I don't think your relationship is abusive. I don't think it's wrong. I just prefer being with a real woman. You know.. someone who will challenge me to become better by forcing me to rethink my opinions/beliefs, and improve my decision-making by calling me into question when I **** up. Someone who will not let me continue my bad habits and constantly make me better myself because she WILL stand up for herself, will NOT take my bullshit, and will keep me on my toes so that I never lose focus.

You're perfect.. for a guy with absolutely no self-esteem, no self-respect, and who is so fragile that he can't handle being in a relationship with a PERSON instead of basically adding another CHILD to the household - except this one he can have sex with.

I want a partner. An equal. A *counterpart* who is every bit as smart, powerful, and talented as I am. I couldn't respect someone who was anything less, and I can't love a person I don't respect.

You can claim your husband respects you all you want, but your own question made it blatantly clear that he does not respect your decision-making, your opinions, your knowledge, your status, your equality, your free will, your gender, your independence, or.. basically.. anything at all about you besides your ability to follow directions mindlessly.
Doesn't allow disrespectful action or words? Huh? He doesn't allow HIMSELF to be disrespected. YOU, however, are another story. He has no respect for you as an adult, and that's why he treats you like a child. He has no respect for you as a human being separate from himself, and that's why he treats you like property.
The husband is the head of the women and Christ is the head of the man. God designed it so that the man would love and honor his wife like Christs loves the Church. The women is to respect her husband.

There is nothing wrong with it. Of course the ';world'; will hate it becuase it is Godly.

It is our upbringing. I was not raised to be my husband's slave nor will I ever be. I am my own person and I make decisions just like he does.

If it does not bother you for him to make all the decisions or the boss of the home, then more power to you. To each his own.
    Same with us.

And anyone that reads my answers KNOWS I am not a doormat.

My life is awesome, and we want for nothing.

You guys seem a bit more militant than we are though...';backtalk';? That sounds odd to me. You should be able to speak freely to your husband at all times.
bc you SHOULD have an opinion and not be a doormat. You can't back talk? Sounds like being a child all over again. you should always have a voice and no one should tell you not to use it. Most of all you should want it to be heard.
Honey, all that matters is how you feel about your marriage, if you feel it is ok, than why should you care about what others think of your marriage??

If you feel it is ok, then why are you so defensive?
its not the situation, if works for you great. its that you think of yourself as property. thats where the dysfunction come in. and that is very sad you have no value for who are
If it works for the two of you then you have no reason to feel like you have to defend your choice.
well, seems to me if you asked this question then you must feel it's somewhat wrong. I am no one to judge what you allow to go on in your own house. good luck!
There's a difference between respect between spouses and tyranny.

I respect my husband, but I am ';allowed'; to voice my thoughts/concerns. What you've described here doesn't sound healthy.

In USA women in 99% marry guys for their money or houses. Men, watch it, or marry girls from other countries.
Bc its no longer the 1920's and we can vote now. He's not your father. I would leave my man if he thought he'd make the decisions of my life.
Because it's like he's controlling you.
does he allow you to p?
Jesus lady, you just set us back 100 years......

I am hosting a 50th Surprise Birthday Party for my husband?

I am giving my husband a 50th Surprise Birthday Party. Thinking about giving personalized hershey kisses in little bags for each guest, just something to say thanks for sharing in this special occassion with my husband.

Is this going over board?I am hosting a 50th Surprise Birthday Party for my husband?
I agree with the other comments. The personalized stuff is pricey. Better off using the money for other aspects of the party like food, entertainments, or decorations. There is no need to give a goodie bag to each guest.

If you feel compelled to give a gift, here is a suggestion from a recent 60th party my parent's went to: The 'birthday girl' had pictures taken with her and each couple/guest. The pics were uploaded to walgreens.com and and printed out. A pic of my parents %26amp; the birthday girl was enclosed in a thank you card. My mom put the pic in a frame on her coffee table. Pics are super cheap on-line ($0.19 a print), and it's a great way to circulate through the party to greet and thank each guest for coming.

Happy Birthday to your hubby!I am hosting a 50th Surprise Birthday Party for my husband?
No it sounds like a great idea...If it were me, i'd have funny little things like maybe a noisemaker, the kisses, and a pen or something...adults like feeling like kids sometimes
They are kind of expensive, I've looked into the price per serving size of the bag and it was too much for me personally. They are cute, and a great idea if he really loves Hershey's kisses! What about baking cookies and cut them into 5-0, and wrap in cellophane for everyone?

sorry- I just cant justify overspending on stuff- just my opinion!
What about having the little Hersey candy bars with a special message on it and a picture of your husband when he was younger! Just put these in a bowl on the tables! This is what they did at my Husbands Parents Aniv Party! It was a big hit!

It was real fun seeing old pictures of them on the candies!
I think it is a great idea! I am turning 50 as well and I know if my husband had a party and gave out ';loot bags'; at the end of the party my friends would get a kick out of it. I'd say go for it!
It is not going overboard! One idea you can do is.Go to a dollar store and buy a bunch of whisks. As many as there are guests.Fill it with a couple of Hershey kisses.Attach a message that says

    ';Whisk you could have stayed longer,but here is some kisses for the road!';

    Everyone will love it!
Not at all! Very nice! They'll love it...and Happy Birthday to your man!
I think you're a bit over the top with this one. Childrens parties have goodie bags . I think a more appropriate thing to do would be to send out a thank you card to all those who came to celebrate such a great milestone.
Here's a cool surprise birthday party invitation.

I just hope for your sake he likes surprizes!!! and he has a great sense of humor, best wishes to him and to you too!!! ST from ohio
not at all, saying thanks is never going over board, you can take pictures of each guest with the birthday boy and frame them in cheap frames and send them to your guest with a thank you note. I have done this and people love it.
