When will my husband be able to call me from coast guard bootcamp?

My hubby is at bootcamp in Cape May, New Jersey for the coast guard. He left last Thursday and he hasn't called yet. Does anyone know if they are allowed to call their families while up there, and if so, when? Thank you in advanceWhen will my husband be able to call me from coast guard bootcamp?
Weird his recruiter didnt pass more info to him.....But he wont be able to call for a while. In my company we where not allowed any personal phone calls until week six. It will depend on his Company Commander (CG ';Drill sgt';) on how long this call can be and what it can consist of....as he gets closer to graduation he will be able to make phone calls for longer and more often.

Write lots and lots of letters. Even if its just a short note every day. You should be getting a letter with his address pretty soon. If you love your husband DO NOT send him any ';care packages.'; Just letters, no newspaper clippings, or magazines and def no food or candy. And no photos you dont want his whole company to see....any risque photos will be displayed on the company bulletin board.

If there is an emergency call your local red cross, they are the quickest way to get in contact with you husband. There are alot of recruits at Cape May, so dont start calling random numbers from the TRACEN website if someone dies or something, contact the red cross.

They are generally allowed one to two phone calls during boot camp. It depends on the instructors when they will get their phone time. It's usually only a 5 to 10 minute call.
No they are not allowed to make calls. The only time may be towards the end of boot camp. Sometimes they allow a short 5 minute phone call.
